Daphanie Lin enjoys a busy career as an award-winning performer, teacher and author. A devoted pedagogue with more than 15 years of teaching experience, Daphanie currently teaches harp and piano at Holy Names University Preparatory Music Department, as well as in her private studio. Her students have amassed local and regional awards, as well as national recognition and achievements. She is an active member of the music community, participating as a member and/or serving in leadership functions within various organizations including the American Harp Society, World Harp Congress, Suzuki Association, Chinese Music Teachers Association of Northern California (CMTANC) and Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC). She is also frequently asked to serve as adjudicator for various competitions as well as evaluator for MTAC’s Certificate of Merit testing. A member of Mu Phi Epsilon, Daphanie is the author of “An Introduction to the Harp for the Young Beginner” – which has been developed into a student handbook and teacher’s guide. She received her Master of Music in Harp Performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and her Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance from Holy Names College. One of her greatest joys is to provide musical inspiration and confidence to her students. Daphanie believes that everyone should be able to enjoy the gift of music and aims to equip her students with the technical and musical tools necessary to express themselves on their instrument of choice.
